InterBel Customers,

   DSL will soon be getting faster! We are currently working on our last phase of Broadband Loop Carrier upgrades which will bring to you faster speeds and greater reliability. We have already completed Phase I, and are soon to complete Phase II. Once Phase II is complete, we will be able to offer higher DSL speeds.

   Phase I included most customers living North of Eureka, Glen Lake, Sinclair Creek and the West Kootenai.

   Phase II includes everyone South of Eureka, Rexford, Pinkham, Fortine, Trego, Stryker. While we are completing this phase, I need to ask a special favor from all of you. If you live South of Eureka, Rexford, Pinkham, Fortine, Trego, Stryker, and have an older WHITE Westel DSL Modem or an older BLACK Westel DSL Modem with only 4 lights, you need to replace your modem. They will not work with the new equipment we are putting in. If you have a Black Westel DSL Modem with 5 lights, you should be OK as those are compatable with the new equipment. Please bring your WHITE or BLACK Westel DSL Modem and it's power cord in to the InterBel Telephone main office for a replacement regular DSL modem at no cost you. You may even opt to upgrade to our Wireless DSL Modem for a one-time cost of $30. This will ensure your DSL service is not interrupted when we start moving you to the new equipment. If you have a Comtrend DSL Modem (regular or wireless) you are fine.

   If you live North of town, or in the West Kootenai, your equipment has already been upgraded and you are fine.

   If you live In Town and have a 297 number, your equipment will also be upgraded.

   I've attached a quick map below - pleaes click on the map and it will open a larger PDF version you can zoom in on. I will have a better one up early next week, just wanted to get the word out as soon as possible. The portion in GREEN has already been upgraded. The portion in YELLOW is to be upgraded in the next few weeks.
